## Who it’s for

- You skate recreationally on an outdoor rink and cold feet bother you most.
- You are learning to skate and want a boot that is comfortable without wearing it in.
- You prefer a figure blade with toe picks to a hockey one.

## When to choose something else

- You train figure skating with jumps — this is a recreational model; you will find training equipment in the [figure skates](https://bogdanca.pl/en/ice-skates/figure) category.
- You mostly skate in a heated hall and do not need insulation — [Igniter Ice W](https://bogdanca.pl/en/bladerunner-igniter-ice-w-women-s-ice-skates-silver-blue.html) has lighter insulation, with a velour lining and a hockey blade.

## Key features

- **Thinsulate insulation and synthetic fur** — Two layers of insulation keep the warmth in even at low temperatures on an outdoor rink.
- **Figure blades with toe picks** — A longer, straight blade gives stability, and the toe picks at the front are for take-offs and simple figures.
- **Stainless steel** — The blades resist damp and corrosion — after skating you only need to dry them.
- **Comfort from the first wear** — The boot does not need breaking in, so you do not waste your first outings on the ice wearing the skates in.

## Choosing your size

Choose the size by foot length: measure it from the heel to the tip of the longest toe and compare it with the insole length given for each size.

If you fall between sizes, take the larger one. You can try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

## Questions and answers

### Do the skates need sharpening before the first skate?

Yes. All new skates need sharpening. We can do it in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław, and you will also find the service in the [service](https://bogdanca.pl/en/service) section.

### What are the toe picks at the front of the blade for?

For take-offs and figures. In ordinary skating you push off with the edge of the blade, not the toe picks — beginners are helped by slightly bent knees and weight over the middle of the foot.

### Are Igniter XT Ice W warm?

Yes. The lining with Thinsulate and synthetic fur keeps the warmth in even at low temperatures.

### Are they suitable for beginners?

Yes. This is a model for beginner and intermediate skaters: stable, light and comfortable from the first wear.

### Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping, and a size exchange means a return and a new order.
