## Who it’s for

- You are starting speed skating and want a high boot that holds the ankle to begin with, and later a switch to a low boot without buying a second pair.
- You train regularly over long distances and compete, or are just preparing to.
- You already skate confidently on recreational skates and want to move to three 125 mm wheels, which carry you further after each push.

## When to choose something else

- You are looking for skates for the city, with kerbs and tight turns — the long frame and 125 mm wheels are not very manoeuvrable; see [urban and freeskate skates](https://bogdanca.pl/en/inline-skates/urban-freeskate).
- You are just learning to skate — for the first seasons [fitness skates](https://bogdanca.pl/en/inline-skates/fitness) on smaller wheels will be easier, e.g. the [Macroblade 100 3WD](https://bogdanca.pl/en/rollerblade-macroblade-100-3wd-inline-skates-black-yellow.html).

## Key features

- **Detachable cuff** — With the cuff on, you have a high training boot that supports the ankle. With it unscrewed, you skate in a low racing boot, with more freedom for the ankle joint.
- **Carbon boot skeleton** — Stiff and light: the push-off force goes to the frame instead of being lost in a flexing boot, and the skate reacts straight away to foot movement.
- **Hydrogen 125 mm / 85A wheels** — Made in the USA. The large diameter rolls further on a single push and stays stable at high speed, and 85A grips asphalt well.
- **Aluminium 3WD racing frame** — A long base for three 125 mm wheels gives calm handling on the straight, and the stiff profile does not flex on a strong push-off.
- **Top buckle, 45° buckle and laces** — The laces fit the forefoot, the 45° buckle holds the heel down, and the top one closes the cuff — your foot does not shift in the boot during hard leg work.
- **Ventilated shell** — Airflow in the boot reduces overheating of the foot during long training sessions.

## Choosing your size

Measure your foot from the heel to the longest toe in millimetres, wearing the sock you skate in, and compare the result with the insole length given for each size. A speed skating boot should hold the heel and midfoot closely — play in the boot means a less precise push-off and chafing over long distances.

If you fall between sizes or have a wide foot, try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

## Questions and answers

### Is the E2 Pro 125 suitable for starting speed skating?

Yes. With the cuff screwed on, the boot is high and supports the ankle, so it is easier to learn the technique on 125 mm wheels. You unscrew the cuff once you feel confident.

### How do I turn these skates into a low racing boot?

By unscrewing the cuff. Without it the boot is low and lets the ankle flex more; when you want to go back to the training version, you screw it back on.

### Can I fit a different frame?

Yes, if it has the same mounting — 195 mm. As supplied, the skates have a 12.6″ aluminium 3WD frame for three 125 mm wheels.

### How does the E2 Pro 125 differ from the Macroblade 110 3WD?

In their purpose. The E2 Pro 125 are speed skates with a carbon boot skeleton, a detachable cuff and 125 mm wheels. The Macroblade 110 3WD are fitness skates on 110 mm wheels with a knit cuff, more comfortable for recreational skating.

### Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping. Exchanging a size means a return and a new order; you can also try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.
