## Who it’s for

- You do not like tying laces and want to fit the boot with a single dial.
- You are starting to skate or skate recreationally and are looking for skates better than the basic ones, without reaching for professional gear.
- You want 84 mm wheels, which roll further than 80 mm ones but are still easy to master.

## When to choose something else

- You do not need BOA fastening — 84 mm wheels and SG5 bearings are also on the [Macroblade 84 grey/red](https://bogdanca.pl/en/rollerblade-macroblade-84-inline-skates-grey-red.html).
- You want to jump off kerbs and skate in the city with slalom — see [urban and freeskate skates](https://bogdanca.pl/en/inline-skates/urban-freeskate).

## Key features

- **BOA system** — A steel cable tightened with a dial replaces the laces: you press the dial in and turn it to the pressure you want, and when it is too tight, you turn it the other way.
- **Quick removal** — After you release the cable the boot loosens at once, so you take the skates off without untying knots.
- **Performance 84 mm wheels** — They are larger than 80 mm wheels, so you go further on a single push, and the ride stays stable.
- **Aluminium frame and SG5 bearings** — A stiff frame keeps the wheels in line, and the bearings give smooth rolling at recreational speeds.
- **Shell and anatomical liner** — The shell supports the foot, and the contoured, well-ventilated liner reduces overheating on longer rides.
- **Standard brake** — At first you brake with your heel, and once you have mastered other techniques, you can remove it.

## Choosing your size

Choose your skate size by foot length, not by the number of your everyday shoes. Measure your foot from the heel to the longest toe in millimetres, ideally in the evening and in the sock you will skate in, and compare the result with the insole length given for the size.

BOA fastening tightens the boot evenly, but it will not make an oversized boot smaller. If you fall between two sizes, try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

## Questions and answers

### How does the BOA system work?

You press the dial in and turn it, and the steel cable tightens the boot. To loosen it, you turn the dial the other way; there are no laces.

### Is the Macroblade 84 Boa suitable for a beginner?

Yes. The model is designed for beginners and recreational skaters, and the brake is fitted as standard.

### How do they differ from the Macroblade 90 Boa?

In wheel diameter: these have 84 mm wheels, the Macroblade 90 Boa has 90 mm. Smaller wheels are more manoeuvrable and easier to master, larger ones hold their speed longer on the straight.

### Can the brake be removed?

Yes. The skates have the brake as standard, but it can be removed once you brake using another technique.

### What should I do if the size does not fit?

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return), and the buyer covers the return shipping. Exchanging a size means a return and a new order.
