## Who it’s for

- You are buying your child’s first ice skates and the child is only just learning to skate on ice.
- Your child is growing fast and you want skates you can adjust to the foot without replacing them with bigger ones after one season.
- A stable hold on the foot matters to you — the boot fastens with laces, a Velcro strap and a buckle.

## When to choose something else

- Your child plays hockey in a team — choose [hockey skates](https://bogdanca.pl/en/ice-skates/hockey) in the YTH or JR category.
- You are buying for an adult — see [recreational skates](https://bogdanca.pl/en/ice-skates/recreational).

## Key features

- **Boot length and width adjustment** — The boot changes size within a range of several sizes and adjusts to a growing foot, so the skates will last more than one season.
- **Soft boot with composite reinforcements** — The soft cuff is comfortable, and the composite material in key places supports the foot and ankle.
- **Laces, Velcro strap and buckle** — Three kinds of fastening — laces, a velcro strap at the toes and a buckle on the cuff — hold the foot steadily in the boot.
- **Hockey-type blade with a holder** — A blade of this type has no toe picks at the front like figure skates, so it is easier to avoid catching on the ice during the first steps.
- **Stainless steel blade** — Stainless steel resists corrosion, so the blade suffers less from moisture.

## Choosing your size

The skates are adjustable within a range of several sizes, so you choose them by the length of your child’s foot. Measure the foot in centimetres, from the heel to the tip of the longest toe, and set the boot so that the heel sits at the back and the toes have a little room.

If in doubt, try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.
