## Who it’s for

- You train on speed skates or skate marathons and want less resistance for the same effort.
- You skate in changeable weather and need bearings more corrosion-resistant than steel ones.
- You service your own gear and want shields that are easy to remove for cleaning.

## When to choose something else

- You are looking for harder balls with less friction — see the silicon nitride version, [Stelior Black Ceramic titanium](https://bogdanca.pl/en/stelior-black-ceramic-hybrid-bearings-titanium-16-pcs.html).

## Key features

- **ZrO2 ceramic balls** — Ceramic balls reduce friction, so you keep your speed with less effort, and they are more corrosion-resistant than steel ones.
- **RS rubber shields** — They are easy to remove and put back, so you can take the bearing apart and clean it yourself; you choose the shield colour when ordering.
- **Choice of lubrication** — Bones Speed Cream for maximum speed, Rollerblade Dry Fluid as a compromise, or Stelior Ceramic Grease for the best protection in difficult conditions.
- **608 standard** — They fit Rollerblade, FR Skates, Powerslide, K2, Seba, Roces, Micro, Bont and other skates with 8 × 22 × 7 mm bearings.
- **Set of 16** — Two bearings for each of the eight wheels of a pair of four-wheel skates.

## Questions and answers

### How do hybrid bearings differ from steel and full ceramic ones?

In the material. Steel ones have steel balls and rings, hybrids combine steel rings with ZrO2 ceramic balls, which gives more speed and corrosion resistance, and full ceramic ones, like [Stelior Pro White Ceramic](https://bogdanca.pl/en/stelior-pro-white-ceramic-racing-bearings-16-pcs.html), are ceramic throughout.

### Are they better than Twincam ILQ and ABEC 9 bearings?

Yes, Stelior claims lower resistance and greater corrosion resistance than in Twincam ILQ-7 and ILQ-9, and higher performance than in ABEC 9 bearings. The ABEC scale does not reflect how a bearing actually performs in skates.

### Do they fit my skates?

Yes, if you have 608 bearings (8 × 22 × 7 mm) — that is the standard in Rollerblade, FR Skates, Powerslide, K2, Seba, Roces, USD and many other skates.

### Can they be washed with water?

No. Clean them with extraction naphtha or paraffin, and lubricate with oil or grease after cleaning.

### Which lubrication should I choose?

Bones Speed Cream if maximum speed matters; Rollerblade Dry Fluid as a compromise; Stelior Ceramic Grease when you skate in difficult conditions and want the best protection.
