The brand behind the name
Rollerblade was founded in Minneapolis in 1980. Two brothers, both hockey players, were looking for a way to train off the ice. Since 2003 the brand has belonged to Italy's Tecnica Group. Rollerblade was first with, among other things, the ABT brake and adjustable kids' skates.

Frequently asked questions
Which Rollerblade skates should I start with?
For learning and leisure, the RB range is a good choice — a comfortable boot and a heel brake. If you want to skate around the city and learn tricks, choose the Twister XT with a hard shell.
How do the adjustable Microblade and Apex kids' skates work?
The boot length changes by several sizes with a button or dial, so the skates last longer. Each model lists its EU size range.
