About Bogdanca
Bogdanca is a specialist inline and ice skate shop run by active skaters, with shops and servicing in Poznań and Wrocław. We choose sizes by foot length in millimetres and service the equipment we sell.
By skaters, for skaters
Bogdanca is a team of people who skate, teach skating and repair equipment themselves. We sell inline skates, ice skates, protective gear and parts: from adjustable kids’ models to equipment for people who skate a lot and hard.
We want skates to be used, not put away in the basement after three sessions. That is why we spend more time on fitting than on selling: we ask where you want to skate, measure your foot and tell you straight when a model is not right for you.
What we do differently
- Size in millimetres. For every size we give the insole length, because an EU size means something different at every manufacturer. How to measure your foot is explained in the guide how to choose inline skate size.
- Availability for each shop separately. You can see whether a size is in stock in Poznań or in Wrocław, or is brought in as a special order from the supplier’s warehouse.
- A clear position. For learning and for the city, we recommend a hard boot rather than a soft one. We also say that ABEC is a tolerance standard, not a measure of how fast a bearing is.
- Descriptions with caveats. On our product pages we write who a model is for and who it is not for.
- In-store servicing. We service inline skates and sharpen ice skates, including those bought in other shops.
Two shops and servicing
Our shops are in Poznań, in the Wilda district, and in Wrocław, in the city centre. In both you can try on skates without an appointment, collect an online order and leave equipment for servicing: wheel rotation, bearing cleaning, brake replacement, heat moulding.
We have been sharpening ice skates for four years, on ProSharp machines. Our technicians were trained by the authorised ProSharp dealer in Poland. In Wrocław we also profile blades. The service is described on the skate sharpening page, and you will find the others in the servicing section.
The Bogdanca Academy, where we run skating classes, also operates in Poznań.
Brands
We sell equipment from brands we know from our own skating and from servicing, including Rollerblade, FR Skates, Seba, K2 and CCM. You will find the full list on the brands page.

Frequently asked questions
Where are Bogdanca’s shops?
In Poznań at ul. 28 Czerwca 1956 r. 128 and in Wrocław at ul. Dawida 28. Both are open Monday to Saturday, 11:00–18:00.
Is Bogdanca only an online shop?
No. As well as the online shop, we run two shops with servicing, where you can try on equipment and collect your order.
Do you service equipment bought elsewhere?
Yes. We also accept inline skates bought in other shops for servicing, and we sharpen ice skates wherever they were bought.
Why do you give sizes in millimetres?
Because insole length in millimetres means the same at every manufacturer, while an EU size does not. This lets you match the size to your measured foot.
