Yes. New blades should be professionally sharpened before skating. When ordering you can choose the type of sharpening, the blade profile and the sharpening depth.

What does “Step” in the name mean?

It is a raised blade profile common to Step blades. It gives deeper turns, greater precision and a longer life of the sharpening.

Do I order a pair of blades?

Yes, the unit of sale is a pair, i.e. a set for both skates.

How does BlackSteel differ from Step Steel and Step V-Steel?

BlackSteel has an outer layer of carbon nanoparticles and a highly polished finish. Step Steel is stainless steel with a precisely raised profile, and V-Steel is mirror-polished steel 21 mm high.

Can I return the blades?

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. The buyer covers the return shipping.
