In brief

The CCM Tacks 910 Senior hockey helmet is a premium senior helmet in which impact energy is dissipated by built-in Fluid Inside pads and D3O Smart Material, whose hardness depends on the force of contact. A durable shell is complemented by dense foam, and you set the size without tools. It is chosen by club and league players, also for open-air rinks and indoor hockey.

Brand: CCM
Model: Tacks 910
Age category: Senior (SR)
Protection: Fluid Inside pads, D3O Smart Material
Shell: with increased resistance
Padding: dense inner foam

Who it’s for

You play in a club or a league and care about protection against linear and rotational forces on contact with the ice, the boards or a stick.
You have used a simpler helmet and want to move up to a model with technologies used at professional level.
You train often and hard, so the helmet should sit stably during dynamic movement and not press throughout the whole training session.

When to choose something else

You need a helmet with a cage straight away — the CCM Tacks 310 Combo Senior comes with one.
You play occasionally and do not need Fluid Inside or D3O — compare with the CCM Tacks 210 Combo Senior.

Key features

Fluid Inside pads: They respond to movement and deformation of the shell, and together with D3O absorb energy on contact with the ice, the boards or a stick.
D3O Smart Material: The hardness of the material changes with the force of contact, so protection works on impact, while in normal movement it does not get in the way.
Shell with increased resistance: The durable shell takes the first contact, and the foam inside cushions the rest.
Dense inner foam: It wraps around the head without pressure, so you can wear the helmet for a whole training session.
Tool-free adjustment: You change the fit quickly and by yourself, also in the changing room.

Questions and answers

What are Fluid Inside and D3O in the Tacks 910 helmet?

They are two protection elements inside the helmet. Fluid Inside means built-in pads that respond to movement and deformation of the shell, and D3O is a material whose hardness depends on the force of contact. Together they absorb impact energy.

How does the Tacks 910 differ from the Tacks 310?

In the Fluid Inside pads. Both helmets have D3O material, but only the Tacks 910 combines it with the Fluid Inside system; the Tacks 310 Combo in turn has I.Q.Shion foam and a cage in the set.

What kind of play is the Tacks 910 suited to?

Ice hockey, including open-air rinks, as well as indoor hockey and intense technical training. It is designed for club, league and amateur players.

How do I choose the helmet size?

Measure your head circumference with a tailor’s tape above the eyebrows and choose the size in which the helmet does not slide down onto the forehead. If in doubt, try it on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Can I return the helmet if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping, and exchanging a size means a return and a new order.
