The FR Skates Cuff Screw is the original screw that fixes the cuff to the boot on models with a rigid cuff fixing: FRX, FR3, FRW and UFR. For rigid cuff fixing: Designed for models without cuff angle adjustment, so there are no eccentric washers to set — you just screw it in and tighten.
4 mm hex socket (H4): It is the same key you use to remove the wheels on most FR Skates frames, so you do not need a separate tool.
Anaerobic adhesive on the thread: The blue layer is not paint but a Loctite-type thread-locking adhesive. It stops the screw from unscrewing by itself from vibration — do not remove it before fitting.
Two colours: Black or gold — you choose the colour when ordering, to suit the look of your skates.

Care and servicing

Do not wash the blue adhesive off the thread before fitting. Tighten the screw with a 4 mm key with a light touch and check the joint after your first ride.

Does this screw fit FR1 or FR2?

No. FR1 and FR2 have cuff angle adjustment (Cuff Canting) with eccentric washers and use a longer screw of a different design. This one fits only models with a rigid cuff fixing: FRX, FR3, FRW and UFR.

What key do I need?

A 4 mm hex key (H4) — the same one you use to remove the wheels on most FR Skates frames.

Should I remove the blue layer from the thread?

No. It is an anaerobic thread-locking adhesive of the Loctite type, not paint. It stops the screw from unscrewing from vibration while you skate.

Can I return the screw if it does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return) without giving a reason. The buyer covers the return shipping.
