How is skating on 3 × 125 mm different from four smaller wheels?

It is faster and smoother, especially over long distances and on uneven asphalt. Your foot sits higher above the ground, so the first rides take some getting used to.

Are these frames for beginners?

No. They are for intermediate and advanced skaters who skate fitness, skate fast around town or train for marathons.
