In brief

Rollerblade Ankle Wrap ankle bands are a pair of compression bands, one each for the left and right leg, made of polyester, TPU and elastane. The thin, stretchy material fits snugly around the ankle and limits the foot shifting in the boot and the formation of blisters. For skating, ice skating, roller skating, running and cycling, in sizes S–XL chosen by ankle circumference.

Who it’s for

After a longer skate you have chafed ankles or blisters where the boot rubs your foot.
You feel your foot floating slightly in the boot and want to limit this without replacing your gear.
You run or cycle and are looking for a thin band that does not slide down during movement.

When to choose something else

You are looking for protection from impact in a fall — the band is thin fabric with no hard inserts; for that there are protective gear for skating.
You need joint stabilisation after an injury — the band is not an orthosis; its job is to limit friction in the boot.

Key features

Less friction in the boot: The band fits against the skin and limits the foot shifting against the liner, so fewer blisters form and the skate responds more surely to leg movement.
Thin, light material: It takes up no room in a snug boot and does not press, so you can wear it for several hours of skating without irritation.
Separate left and right: The set contains two bands, one for each foot. The stretchy material follows the contours of the ankle and does not slide down as you move.
Size marked by seam colour: S has a red seam, M yellow, L green and XL grey — you recognise the size at once, even when several pairs are lying around at home.

Care and servicing

Machine wash at a low temperature and dry flat — the bands keep their elasticity through repeated washing. After skating take them out of the boot so that they dry separately.

Questions and answers

How do I choose the size of the band?

Measure your ankle circumference: S is 24–29 cm, M 30–33 cm, L 34–37 cm, XL 38–42 cm. Treat shoe size (EU 35–38, 39–41, 42–44, 45–47) as a secondary guide.

Do I put the band on over the sock or under it?

Under the sock or straight on the skin. Then it fits against the ankle and does not shift relative to the foot.

Will the band protect my ankle in a fall?

No. It is a thin compression band against friction and blisters, with no hard inserts. Protective gear protects against impacts.

Are they suitable for ice skates?

Yes. The bands are intended for inline skates, ice skates and roller skates, as well as for running and cycling.

How many bands are in the pack?

Two — one each for the left and right foot, i.e. a set for both legs.
