In brief

Superfeet Carbon Pro are thin, low-volume insoles for stiff footwear: hockey and figure skates and inline skates. The EVOLyte carbon fibre stabiliser does not flex excessively under pressure, the deep cup holds your heel in place, and the Aerolyte foam absorbs vibration. The arch profile is medium to high, and you choose the size by the range of shoe sizes.

Who it’s for

  • You play hockey or figure skate and feel your heel lifting in the boot during sharp turns and stops.
  • You skate in stiff inline skates — roller hockey, hard-shell freeride / urban or speed — and want to transfer your push-off power to the wheels more confidently.
  • Your ice skates or inline skates are tight and you are looking for an insole with arch support that will not take up much room above your foot.

When to choose something else

  • You have a low, flat arch — Carbon Pro has a medium to high arch profile; see Superfeet Active for low arches.
  • You are looking for an insole that you can heat and mould in an oven — Carbon Pro insoles are not heat-mouldable.

Key features

EVOLyte carbon fibre stabiliser
The stiff plate does not flex excessively under pressure, so your push-off power goes into the blade or the wheels rather than into a soft insole.
Deep heel cup
Holds your heel in one place: it limits heel lift, your foot sliding around in the boot and rubbing in turns and stops.
Low volume
A thin insole made of light foam takes up a small amount of play in a tight hockey or inline boot and does not press on your instep.
Aerolyte foam
Absorbs vibration, which you notice especially in inline skates on rough asphalt on long routes.
Ventilation and odour control
A ventilation system and an odour-limiting coating help keep the boot fresh when you use it several times a week.
No baking
The insoles do not need heat-moulding in an oven — after trimming, you put them in the boot and skate.

Choosing your size

Superfeet insoles are chosen by the range of shoe sizes marked with a letter, e.g. C is 37–38.5 and D is 39–41. If you are torn between two ranges, take the larger one and trim the front with scissors.

Trimming: take the factory insole out of your ice skate or inline skate, lay it on the Carbon Pro, line both up at the heel, trace the front and cut along the line.

Care and servicing

After a session, take the insoles out of the boot so that they dry together with the inside of the skate, away from a radiator.

Questions and answers

Do Carbon Pro fit inline skates, or only ice skates?

They fit both. They are designed for stiff footwear: hockey and figure skates, and roller hockey, hard-shell freeride / urban and speed skates.

Which size should I choose?

The range that includes your shoe size, e.g. C for 37–38.5 or D for 39–41. If you are torn between ranges, take the larger one and trim the front with scissors, using the factory insole as a guide.

Do the insoles need to be heated in an oven?

No. Carbon Pro are not heat-mouldable — the shape adapts to your foot under body heat and pressure while you skate, and the stabiliser stays stiff.

Won't the insole make the boot too tight?

No. It is a low-volume insole, thinner than typical orthotic insoles, made for tight sports boots without pressure on the instep. If the boot already feels tight, try the insole on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

How are they different from Superfeet Active?

Carbon Pro have a carbon fibre stabiliser, low volume and a medium to high arch profile. Active come in three separate versions: for low, medium and high arches.
