In brief

Atom Skates Matrix 80 mm / 86A pink is a set of 8 wheels for four-wheel inline skates, made of Insane Thane polyurethane on an X-Flex Core. The compound provides grip and durability, the core stability at higher speeds. The wheels suit recreational, urban and fast skating, from beginners to advanced skaters.

Brand: Atom Skates
Model: Matrix
Diameter: 80 mm
Hardness: 86A
Quantity: 8 (set for a pair of four-wheel inline skates)
Core: X-Flex Core

Who it’s for

The factory wheels on your four-wheel inline skates are worn down and you are replacing the whole set at once.
You skate on asphalt paths, longer routes or around town and want one all-round hardness.
You want to change the colour of your wheels to pink without changing the 80 mm diameter.

When to choose something else

Your frame takes 76 mm at most – choose 76 mm wheels.
You skate on three-wheel inline skates with 125 mm wheels – for those there is the set Matrix 125 mm / 86A, 6 pcs.

Key features

Insane Thane polyurethane: A formula aimed at grip and durability: the wheel holds in turns and wears more slowly.
X-Flex Core: Works flexibly under load and keeps the wheel stable at high speed.
80 mm diameter: A wheel for four-wheel inline skates: a low centre of gravity gives manoeuvrability and a quick reaction to foot movement.
86A hardness: On the A scale, a higher number means a harder wheel. 86A is an all-round hardness: it grips asphalt and wears more slowly than soft wheels.
Set of 8: You replace the wheels on both skates at once, so each skate rolls on wheels of the same hardness and the same wear.

Care and servicing

The wheels wear mainly on the inner edge. From time to time swap their positions and turn them round so that they wear evenly.

Questions and answers

Are 8 wheels enough for a pair of skates?

Yes, if your skates have four wheels each. 8 pieces make a set for a pair of four-wheel inline skates – four wheels per skate.

Will these wheels fit my skates?

Yes, if the frame on your skates takes 80 mm wheels. If your old wheels have 80 mm printed on them, it is a direct replacement; with smaller ones, first check the largest diameter allowed for your frame. If in doubt, bring your skates to our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

What does 86A mean?

It is the wheel’s hardness on the A scale. The higher the number, the harder the wheel: it rolls faster and wears more slowly, but damps bumps less.

Does the Matrix series come in other diameters?

Yes. Besides 80 mm, the series comes in various diameters (e.g. 84, 90, 100, 110 or 125 mm) and colours. The 125 mm / 86A set is intended for a pair of three-wheel inline skates.

Can I return the wheels or collect them in person?

Yes. You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, and the buyer covers the return shipping. You can also collect your order free of charge at our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.
