In brief

The FR Skates Double Strap Screw M4 buckle screw is a black screw with an M4 thread, 9 mm long, with a flat head for fixing buckles and straps on inline skates. The Anti-Loose serrations under the head and the factory Loctite adhesive keep it in place when skating on cobblestones and jumping. It often also works as a replacement in skates of other brands.

Brand: FR Skates
Type: buckle and strap screw
Model: Double Strap Screw
Size: M4 thread, 9 mm thread length
Head: flat (flanged), Phillips cross socket
Locking: Anti-Loose serrations under the head, factory Loctite adhesive

Who it’s for

The buckle on your skates works loose every few rides because the screw unscrews from vibration on cobblestones.
You lost a buckle or strap screw and need an M4 replacement, including for skates of a brand other than FR Skates.
You are replacing buckles or straps with coloured ones and need flat-head screws that will not damage the plastic.

When to choose something else

The play is in the cuff, not the buckle — separate screws are used to fix it, for example the FR Skates Screw Cuff Igor & Daria.

Key features

M4 thread: Many manufacturers use this size to fix 45° buckles and straps, so the screw also works as a replacement outside FR Skates skates.
Flat head (flanged): It presses the strap down over its whole surface and does not cut into the plastic, as the conical head of an ordinary screw does.
Anti-Loose serrations under the head: Sharp serrations bite into the surface and make it harder for the screw to unscrew from vibration while you skate.
Factory Loctite adhesive on the thread: A blue patch of anaerobic adhesive locks the thread further, so the buckle does not work loose on jumps and hard freeride skating.

Care and servicing

Tighten with a Phillips screwdriver until you feel clear resistance, without forcing it — the screw often works in a part joined to plastic, and the serrations and adhesive protect it from unscrewing.

Questions and answers

Does this screw fit skates of brands other than FR Skates?

In many cases yes, because the M4 thread is a common standard for 45° buckles and straps. Measure the old screw before buying: this one has a thread length of 9 mm.

How does it differ from an ordinary M4 screw from a hardware shop?

The flat head and the thread locking. An ordinary screw often has a conical head that damages the strap and a smooth underside, so it unscrews from vibration; this one has serrations under the head and factory Loctite adhesive.

How tightly should I tighten it?

Until you feel clear resistance, with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not force it — the serrated flange and the adhesive will hold the joint, and too much force can damage the plastic.

Will you choose a screw for my skates in the shop?

Yes. Bring the skate or the old screw to our shop in Poznań or Wrocław and we will compare the thread and length.

Can I return the screw if it does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping.
