Who it’s for

You skate on FR Spin and the lower strap or buckle has broken or stopped holding.
You have other FR Skates or another brand with a 45° strap and are looking for a replacement with a ratchet fastening.
You want to press your foot down harder and more precisely around the ankle when skating hard.

When to choose something else

You need an upper buckle that fastens the cuff — this set is for lower 45° fastenings; see buckles, straps and fastenings.

Key features

Spin Ratchet mechanism: The ratchet buckle tightens the strap tooth by tooth and locks it, so you set the pressure precisely and the fastening holds throughout your skate.
A set for the left and right skate: Two buckles, two straps and bolts with nuts — you replace the fastenings on both skates at once, with no need to buy small parts separately.
Toothed strap (Ladder Strap): Adjustment tooth by tooth lets you match the pressure to the thickness of your sock and the volume of your foot.
Durable composite plastic: The parts resist wear and cope with everyday fastening and unfastening.
Compatible with 45° mounting: The set was made for FR Spin, but it fits many FR Skates and other brands' skates with a similar 45° strap mounting system.

Care and servicing

After your first few skates, check that the bolts on the buckles and straps haven't worked loose, and tighten them if needed. Remove sand from the ratchet mechanism with a small brush before it starts to jam the pawl.

Questions and answers

Which strap length should I choose?

190 mm for skates EU 35–39, 210 mm for EU 40–45. The surest way is to measure the strap you have now and take the same length.

Do the buckles only fit FR Spin?

No. They were made for FR Spin, but they fit many other FR Skates and other brands with a similar 45° strap mounting. With another brand, try the set against the boot in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Is the set enough for both skates?

Yes. The set includes two buckles, two straps, plus bolts and nuts — for the left and right skate.

Can I fit them on skates that don't have a 45° buckle?

Only if the shell has mounting points for the strap. The buckle and strap are bolted on, so bring your skates to the shop and we'll check on the spot.
