In brief

The K2 Backpack skate backpack holds 30 l and is made of 600D ripstop with a TPU coating on the top and bottom. The flat shape lets you lay the skates in so that they overlap, and the padded laptop compartment, organiser and chest and hip belts work well for commuting. There is no dedicated skate holder, but you can lash the skates on with the straps.

Who it’s for

You commute to work or university on skates and want to carry a laptop in a padded compartment.
After skating you take your skates off and need somewhere to put them — the flat shape lets you lay them in overlapping.
You skate after dark and want to attach a bike light to the clip on the backpack.

When to choose something else

You are looking for a backpack with a ready-made external skate holder — this one has straps for lashing gear on, but not a dedicated holder. You will find other models in the bags and backpacks category.

Key features

600D ripstop material with a TPU coating: A durable fabric, and the coating on the top and bottom gives the backpack extra protection against moisture.
Waterproof YKK #10 zips: The zips and sliders are waterproof, so the contents suffer less in the rain.
Flat shape and reinforced bottom: You lay skates in it so that they overlap, and the reinforced bottom protects the backpack even if it falls on the track or asphalt.
Adjustable chest and hip belts: They steady the backpack on your back so that it does not shift while you skate.
Pockets and organisation: A zipped organiser, a bottle pocket, an external pocket for quick access, a padded laptop compartment and a mesh pocket on the flap.
Bike light clip and two compression straps: A light on the back of the backpack makes you more visible after dark, and the straps pull the contents in tight.
