Who it’s for

  • You ride a bike in forests and on gravel and want a helmet that comes lower down over the back and sides of the head.
  • You ride in full sun — the integrated visor shades your face and eyes.
  • You are looking for one helmet for cycling and skating, with simple adjustment of circumference and height.
  • You come home after dark or in bad weather and want to attach an LED light on the back.

When to choose something else

  • You ride mostly on tarmac and care about weight and airflow — the Lazer Tonic weighs about 230 g in size M and has 28 vents.
  • You play hockey — for the ice and the court you need a hockey helmet.

Key features

Integrated visor
It shades your face and eyes from the sun, so you squint less on open stretches.
Shell lowered at the back and sides
The helmet comes down lower than a typical road model, so it protects the back and sides of the head better.
15 vents
They air your head while riding on hot days.
Turnfit Plus
Adjustment works all the way round the helmet, so pressure is spread evenly, not just at the back of the head.
Vertically adjustable cradle
You set the height of the cradle to the shape of your head; together with circumference adjustment this gives an exact fit.
Lazer LED light mount
With the light attached, you are more visible in the evening and in bad weather.

Care and servicing

Inspect the helmet regularly for cracks and dents and keep it clean. After a hard impact, replace it with a new one, even if no damage is visible.

Questions and answers

Is the Lazer Chiru helmet suitable for skating?

Yes. It is designed for off-road cycling but also works for skating — the lowered shell protects the back of the head in a backwards fall.

Which helmet size should I choose?

Measure your head circumference: S is 52–56 cm, M 55–59 cm, L 58–61 cm. If you fall between two sizes, try both.

How does the Chiru differ from the Lazer Tonic?

In the visor, the shape of the shell and the weight. The Chiru has an integrated visor, a shell lowered at the back and sides, 15 vents and weighs from 300 g; the Tonic has 28 vents and about 230 g in size M.

Can I mount a light?

Yes, a Lazer LED light can be attached to the Chiru helmet.

Can I return the helmet if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping, and exchanging a size means a return and a new order.
