In brief

The Lazer Nutz KinetiCore Butterflies is a kids’ helmet for skating and cycling. KinetiCore technology, that is crumple zones absorbing the energy of an impact, is combined with a shell lowered at the temples and the back of the head. One size covers a circumference of 50–56 cm, and the EZ Fit system takes care of the fit. Weight 250 g, 12 vents with an insect mesh, side-fastening buckle.

Brand: Lazer
Model: Nutz KinetiCore
Colour: Butterflies pattern
Protection technology: KinetiCore — crumple zones; shell lowered at the sides and back
Ventilation: 12 vents with insect mesh
Adjustment: EZ Fit (self-adjusting), side strap buckle; one universal kids’ size, head circumference 50–56 cm

Who it’s for

Your child has a head circumference of 50–56 cm and rides skates or a bike.
You are looking for a helmet your child will put on without arguments: light, and with a graphic instead of a plain shell.
You are fed up with skin pinched under the chin when fastening — here the buckle is at the side of the head.

When to choose something else

Your child’s head circumference is below 50 cm — the smaller model is the Lazer PNut KinetiCore for 46–52 cm.
Head circumference is over 56 cm — look for a larger model in the skating helmets category.

Key features

KinetiCore crumple zones: Zones designed into the helmet deform on impact and absorb its force, instead of passing it on to the child’s head.
Shell lowered at the sides and back: The helmet comes lower on the head and better protects the sensitive temple area.
12 vents with a mesh: Airflow cools the head on hot days, and the mesh keeps insects out.
Weight of 250 g: A light helmet does not weigh on the child’s head and neck, so there is less reason to take it off.
EZ Fit system: The helmet adjusts itself to the shape of the head, so it does not need setting each time it is put on.
Side-fastening buckle: A fastening at the cheek is easier to operate than one under the chin and does not pinch the skin.

Wipe the helmet with a damp cloth and dry it away from a radiator. After a hard impact, replace it with a new one, even if no damage is visible — crumple zones work only once.

Questions and answers

What head circumference is the Lazer Nutz KinetiCore helmet for?

50–56 cm. It is one universal kids’ size, which the EZ Fit system adjusts to the shape of the head by itself.

What age is this helmet for?

Head circumference decides, not age: 50–56 cm. Measure your child’s head before buying, or come together for a fitting to our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

How does the Nutz differ from the PNut KinetiCore?

In size and weight. The Nutz is for a circumference of 50–56 cm and weighs 250 g, the PNut is for 46–52 cm and weighs 240 g. Both have KinetiCore, EZ Fit, 12 vents with a mesh and a side buckle.

Does the buckle pinch the skin under the chin?

No — the buckle fastens at the side of the head, not under the chin. It also makes the helmet easier to put on and take off.

Can I return the helmet if it does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping.
