In brief

The Luminous 8/6 mm reducing spacer is an aluminium insert with an outer diameter of 8 mm and an inner diameter of 6 mm. With it, light-up LED wheels with an 8 mm magnetic spacer, for example Luminous, can be fitted to skates with 6 mm axles, including kids' ones. Sold singly — you need one for each light-up wheel. Fitting needs no tools.

including Luminous, Fothon, Powerslide Neon

Who it’s for

  • You are buying light-up wheels for kids' skates, e.g. Rollerblade Microblade, which have thin 6 mm axles.
  • You have LED wheels with an 8 mm magnetic spacer (Luminous, Fothon, Powerslide Neon) and feel play after fitting them on the axle.

When to choose something else

  • You have skates with 8 mm axles — then you fit light-up wheels directly, without a reducer.
  • You skate on ordinary wheels without LEDs — they don't need this spacer.

Key features

Reduction from 8 to 6 mm
It fills the difference between the magnetic spacer of the LED wheel and the thinner axle, so the wheel has no play.
Aluminium
Light, durable and abrasion-resistant.
No tools needed
You put it into the wheel between the bearings and pass the axle through the middle.

Questions and answers

How many spacers do I need?

One for each light-up wheel. The spacer is sold singly, so for a set of 8 wheels order 8 pieces.

How do I check whether I have 6 mm or 8 mm axles?

Measure the axle with callipers. A thin bolt is usually 6 mm, a thicker one — 8 mm. 6 mm axles are found on, among others, kids' skates and selected K2, Rollerblade, Powerslide or Oxelo models.

Does this spacer light up?

No. It is the LED wheels with a magnetic spacer that light up; the reducer only fits them to a thinner axle.

How do I fit the spacer?

Without tools: put the spacer into the wheel between the bearings and pass the axle through its middle. With tight bearings, a bearing fitting tool helps.
