In brief

Oysi Medium Chassis 257 mm frames are black frames for aggressive skating with UFS mounting, designed for skates in EU size 42 and smaller. They have a large soul groove for grinds and a low-set centre of gravity that helps on landings. You can set the wheels up flat or in an anti-rocker; with some diameters the soulplate has to be trimmed.

Brand: Oysi

Wheel set-up: flat or anti-rocker, wheels of different sizes

Who it’s for

You skate aggressive in skates up to EU 42 and are looking for a frame suited to a smaller boot.
You are replacing a worn-out UFS frame after a season of grinds and jumps in the skatepark.
You want to set the wheels up in an anti-rocker to make room for grinds.

When to choose something else

Your skates are larger than EU 42 — this frame is designed for smaller sizes; compare the length with the Oysi Inline Skating Chassis 281 mm.
You are looking for a frame for urban or fitness skates — this one fits only UFS mounting; see the skate frames.

Key features

UFS mounting system: UFS is the mounting standard in aggressive skates, so you can bolt the frame to a boot with this system without modifications.
Large soul groove: A wide space for catching the frame on a rail or edge makes it easier to enter a grind and hold it.
Low-set centre of gravity: Your foot is closer to the ground, so it is easier to keep control when landing after a jump.
Flat or anti-rocker set-up: The frame takes wheels of different sizes: four equal ones (flat) or smaller wheels in the middle (anti-rocker), which leave room for grinds and make aggressive skating easier.
257 mm length, up to EU 42: The frame is designed for skates in EU size 42 and smaller — the short wheelbase suits a smaller boot.

Care and servicing

After skatepark sessions check the tightness of the mounting bolts and axles regularly, as landings and grinds put a lot of load on them.

Questions and answers

What skate size is this frame for?

For EU 42 and smaller. Before buying, also compare the 257 mm length with the frame in your skates, or come with your skates to our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

How does the 257 mm version differ from the 269 mm?

Only in length. Both Medium Chassis frames have UFS mounting and are designed for skates in EU size 42 and smaller — choose the one that matches the length of your current frame.

Can I skate on an anti-rocker?

Yes. The frame takes wheels of different sizes, so you can set them up flat or in an anti-rocker, with smaller wheels in the middle.

Do larger wheels require any modification?

Sometimes. With some wheel diameters the soulplate on the skates has to be trimmed so that the wheel does not rub against it.

Can I return the frame if it does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping.
