Si3N4 ceramic balls: Silicon nitride is harder than steel and resistant to corrosion: the balls offer less resistance and wear more slowly.
GCR15 rings with a titanium coating: The chrome steel raceways work as in classic steel bearings, and the titanium coating gives this version its colour.
RS rubber shields: They are easy to remove and put back, so cleaning and lubricating takes a moment; you choose the shield colour when ordering.

Care and servicing

Clean the bearings with extraction naphtha or paraffin, not with water and soap, and lubricate them with oil or grease after cleaning. Do not pry the bearings when taking them out of the wheels.

Questions and answers

How do Black Ceramic differ from White Ceramic?

In the ball material. Black Ceramic have silicon nitride (Si3N4) balls — harder, with less friction and more durable; White Ceramic have zirconium oxide (ZrO2) balls, also corrosion-resistant, but less hard.

Are they better than Twincam ILQ-9 and ABEC 9 bearings?

Yes, Stelior claims lower friction, harder balls and a longer life than in Twincam ILQ and ABEC 9 bearings. The ABEC scale describes only manufacturing tolerances, not how a bearing behaves in skates.

How many spacers do I need?

Eight, one per wheel: each wheel takes 2 bearings and 1 spacer. We will match Stelior spacers to the cores of your wheels as part of the “Wheel core measurement and spacer selection” service.

Can they be washed with water?

No. Clean the steel rings with extraction naphtha or paraffin, and lubricate the bearings after cleaning.

Do they fit my skates?

Yes, if you have 608 bearings (8 × 22 × 7 mm). They fit Rollerblade, FR Skates, Powerslide, K2, Seba, Roces, USD, Micro, Bont and other models with this standard.
