In brief

Bladerunner Igniter XT Ice black/red ice skates are insulated recreational skates for adult men. The interior with a Thinsulate layer and synthetic fur keeps the warmth in, and the stainless steel hockey blades resist corrosion and stay sharp for a long time. For recreational and training skating, also on outdoor rinks. They need sharpening before first use.

Brand: Bladerunner
Model: Igniter XT Ice
Colour: black/red
For: men; the women’s version is Igniter XT Ice W
Lining: Thinsulate insulation, synthetic fur
Blade: hockey, stainless steel

Who it’s for

You skate on an outdoor rink in sub-zero temperatures and want a warm boot.
You are learning to skate or developing your technique and need stable foot support.
You are looking for durable skates for regular outings, not for a single season.

When to choose something else

You play hockey in a team — choose hockey skates; Igniter XT Ice is a recreational model.
You mostly skate in a heated hall and do not need insulation — Igniter Ice with a velour lining is enough.

Key features

Thinsulate insulation and synthetic fur: Two layers of insulation keep the warmth in during long skating in the cold.
Comfort from the first wear: The boot does not need breaking in and fits the foot well straight away.
Stainless steel hockey blades: They resist corrosion and stay sharp for a long time, so you go back for sharpening less often.
Stable boot: The foot support helps with learning and with refining your skating technique.
For indoor and outdoor rinks: Stainless steel copes with damp and changeable weather — after skating you only need to dry the blades.
