Who it’s for

  • Your daughter is starting to learn to skate on ice and needs skates that will stabilise her ankle and keep up with a growing foot.
  • You want to buy one pair for several seasons instead of looking for a new size every winter.
  • Your child skates both indoors and on an outdoor rink, so the blade must resist corrosion.

When to choose something else

  • Your child trains hockey in a club — you will need hockey skates in the YTH or JR category.
  • You are looking for a figure blade — Micro Ice G has a hockey profile, and the Micro XT Ice G black/pink has a figure blade.

Key features

Push-button adjustment across 4 sizes
After pressing the button on the side of the skate you lengthen the inside of the boot when the foot grows, without tools.
Micro Shell
Light yet stable: it supports the ankle and leaves as much flexibility as is needed for learning.
Velour foam lining
The soft interior keeps the warmth in and stays comfortable even when you spend longer on the ice.
Buckle, 45° velcro strap and laces
Three fastenings tighten the boot in different places, and the angled velcro strap (powerstrap) presses the heel down so it does not lift when pushing off.
Stainless steel blade, hockey profile
The steel does not corrode on an open-air rink, and the hockey profile makes turning and stopping easier.

Choosing your size

The skates are adjustable, so each size covers a range of numbers. Measure your child’s foot in centimetres, from the heel to the tip of the longest toe, and choose the size whose insole length range includes the result.

Micro Ice G size chart: S — EU 29–34, insole 18.5–21.5 cm; M — EU 32–37, insole 20.5–23.5 cm; L — EU 36–40, insole 22.5–25.5 cm. If the foot fits into two ranges, take the larger size and set it with the adjustment.

Care and servicing

Blades are sharpened on average about every 10 hours of skating, depending on intensity, and new skates — before they first go on the ice. We can do the sharpening in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Questions and answers

Does Micro Ice G have a figure blade?

No. The blade is made of stainless steel and has a hockey profile, just like Micro Ice. The Micro XT Ice G model has a figure blade.

How often do the blades need sharpening?

On average about every 10 hours of skating, depending on how intensively your child skates. New skates need sharpening before the first skate.

How does the size adjustment work?

With a button on the side of the skate. After pressing it you lengthen the inside of the boot within a range of four sizes as the foot grows.

Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping, and a size exchange means a return and a new order.
