In brief

Rollerblade Hydrogen 110 mm / 85A white/lime (8 pcs) is eight wheels for replacing the whole set on 4×110 mm four-wheel frames, four per skate. The wheels are made in the USA and have a hardness of 85A. It is a layout for marathons and speed skating: the long wheelbase gives stability at high speed. You choose bearings and spacers separately.

Brand: Rollerblade
Model: Hydrogen
Diameter: 110 mm
Hardness: 85A
Quantity: 8 (set for a pair of 4×110 mm four-wheel skates)
Intended use: marathons, speed skating on 4×110 mm frames

Who it’s for

You have speed or marathon skates on 4×110 mm frames and want to replace all eight wheels at once.
You race marathons or train over long distances and need wheels that hold their direction steadily at high speed.
You have your own bearings and spacers and want to move them over to the new set.

When to choose something else

You have 3×110 mm three-wheel skates — the set of 6 is enough for you.
Your four-wheel frame takes 90 mm at most — see Hydrogen 90 mm.

Key features

4×110 mm layout: A longer wheelbase and a larger contact area than on a three-wheel frame: the skate is more stable at the highest speeds and holds a straight line more easily.
110 mm diameter: A large wheel rolls longer after a single push-off and passes over bumps more easily than 80–90 mm wheels.
85A hardness: A hard tread wears slowly and transfers push-off force well in a long marathon stride.
Set of 8: Four wheels per skate, so you replace the whole set in one purchase and the wheels wear evenly from the start.

Care and servicing

The wheels wear mainly on the inner edge. Every so often, swap their positions and flip them to the other side so that they wear evenly.

Questions and answers

Which frames is this set for?

4×110 mm four-wheel frames. Eight wheels means four per skate — the standard layout in marathons and classic speed skating.

How does skating on 4×110 mm differ from a three-wheel layout?

Four wheels give a longer wheelbase and a larger contact area with the ground. The skate is more stable at high speed and holds a straight line more easily.

Are bearings and spacers included?

No. The set is just 8 wheels. You buy bearings and spacers separately or move them over from your current wheels.

Can I fit these wheels on three-wheel skates?

Yes, if the frame takes 110 mm, but you will be left with two spare wheels. For 3×110 mm skates there is a set of 6.

Can I return the wheels?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return) without giving a reason. The buyer covers the return shipping.
