Care and servicing

Rinse off sand and dust with lukewarm water first, then dry the lens with a soft microfibre cloth — wiping it dry and using a paper towel will scratch the mirror coating. Carry the sunglasses in a case or pouch.

Questions and answers

What are the holes at the sides of the lens for?

Ventilation. They carry heated air away from behind the lens even when you are standing at traffic lights, so your eyes do not sting and the lens fogs more slowly.

Are colours distorted through a rose lens?

They warm up slightly, but that is exactly why contrast increases: sand, small stones and cracks in the asphalt are easier to see than through a grey lens. It is still an S3 lens, letting through 10% of light.

Do the other Skyryse colours have an equally dark lens?

In these four versions, yes: Burgundy Matt / Mirror Rose, Clear Purple / Mirror Lavender, Smoke Matt / Mirror Gold and White Matt / Mirror Gold have an S3 lens that lets through 10% of light, and they differ in the colour of the frame and the mirror. How do the Skyryse differ from the Sportstyle 235?

In ventilation and fit. The Skyryse have side vents in the lens that carry heat away from under the sunglasses even when you are stationary. The Sportstyle 235 focus on fit: you can press the malleable tips of the temples under the helmet straps, and some versions have a lighter S2 lens.
