In brief

CCM JetSpeed FT485 SR hockey skates are a recreational model in Senior sizing, for amateur hockey. The TotalDri liner with a Durazone layer wicks away moisture, and the RFM composite boot can be heat-moulded. The Speedblade holder shortens the turning radius, and you replace the stainless steel blade quickly, without tools. They suit beginners and intermediate players.

Who it’s for

  • You play amateur hockey as an adult or are coming back to the ice after a break and want skates from the JetSpeed series, built for acceleration and agility.
  • You are looking for a boot that can be heat-moulded and has a liner that wicks away moisture and protects the ankle from chafing.
  • You want a blade holder in which you replace the blade yourself, without tools, with the knob at the heel.

When to choose something else

  • You need a smaller size, for example for a teenager — see the FT485 INT version.
  • You are looking for skates for a younger player — see the Junior models in the hockey skates category.

Key features

One-piece RFM composite boot
A light and durable construction holds the foot and ankle, and the holder attached on rivets is meant to improve the transfer of energy from the push-off to the blade.
Heat-mouldable boot
After heating, the boot can be fitted to the shape of the foot, which reduces play and the spots that rub.
TotalDri liner with Durazone reinforcement
Heavy Duty microfibre and reinforcement protect against chafing, memory foam shields the ankle, and the CCM Ortholite insole supports the foot.
Vent hole in the sole
Wicks moisture away from the inside of the boot, so your foot sweats less on longer sessions.
Two-layer XS Tongue
Anatomical, separate for the left and right foot, about 7 mm thick. When it wears out, it can be replaced.
Speedblade holder and SpeedBlade Stainless blade
The holder shortens the turning radius, and you replace the stainless steel blade with the knob at the heel, without tools.

Choosing your size

SR means Senior sizing, that is for adults. Hockey skate sizes have their own scale, so do not carry over your everyday shoe number one to one. Measure your foot from the heel to the tip of the longest toe and compare the result with the length given for each size.

The boot can be heat-moulded, so small differences in the shape of your foot can be fitted afterwards. If you need a smaller size, check the Intermediate and Junior versions.

Care and servicing

After skating, wipe the blades dry and dry the boot so that the steel does not rust and the inside does not pick up odour. We sharpen blades in our shops in Poznań and Wrocław.

Questions and answers

What does SR in the name mean?

SR is the senior category, that is skates for adults. You will find other sizes of this model in the Intermediate (INT) and Junior (JR) versions.

Is the FT485 suitable for a beginner?

Yes. It is a recreational JetSpeed model, good for starting out in hockey and comfortable for intermediate players too.

How does the FT485 differ from the FT475?

The better lining: the FT485 has a TotalDri liner with a Durazone layer, which wicks away moisture and protects against chafing. There is also a vent hole in the sole.

Can I replace the blade myself?

Yes. The Speedblade holder has a knob at the heel with which you replace the CCM SpeedBlade Stainless blade quickly and without tools.

Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return) without giving a reason, and the buyer covers the return shipping. A size exchange means a return and a new order. You can also try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.
