In brief

CCM JetSpeed FT485 INT hockey skates are a recreational model in Intermediate sizing, for beginner and intermediate players. The one-piece RFM composite boot can be heat-moulded, the TotalDri liner has Durazone reinforcement, and a vent hole in the sole wicks moisture away. The Speedblade holder shortens the turning radius, and you replace the blade without tools.

Who it’s for

  • You play hockey recreationally or are only starting out and need skates from the JetSpeed series in sizes between Junior and Senior.
  • You are looking for a boot that can be heat-moulded and has a liner that protects the ankle from chafing.
  • You want a blade holder in which you replace the blade yourself, without tools, with the knob at the heel.

When to choose something else

  • You need an adult size for a larger foot — see the FT485 SR version.
  • You are looking for skates for a younger player — see the Junior models in the hockey skates category.

Key features

One-piece RFM composite boot
A light and durable construction holds the foot and ankle, and the holder attached on rivets is meant to improve the transfer of energy from the push-off to the blade.
Heat-mouldable boot
After heating, the boot can be fitted to the shape of the foot, which reduces play and the spots that rub.
TotalDri liner with Durazone reinforcement
Heavy Duty microfibre and reinforcement protect against chafing, memory foam shields the ankle, and the CCM Ortholite insole supports the foot.
Vent hole in the sole
Wicks moisture away from the inside of the boot, so your foot sweats less on longer sessions.
Two-layer XS Tongue
Anatomical, separate for the left and right foot, about 7 mm thick. When it wears out, it can be replaced.
Speedblade holder and SpeedBlade Stainless blade
The holder shortens the turning radius, and you replace the stainless steel blade with the knob at the heel, without tools.

Choosing your size

INT means Intermediate sizing, in between Junior and Senior. Hockey skate sizes have their own scale, so do not carry over your everyday shoe number one to one. Measure your foot from the heel to the tip of the longest toe and compare the result with the length given for each size.

The boot can be heat-moulded, so small differences in the shape of your foot can be fitted afterwards. If you fall outside the INT size range, check the Junior or Senior versions.

Care and servicing

After skating, wipe the blades dry and dry the boot so that the steel does not rust and the inside does not pick up odour. We sharpen blades in our shops in Poznań and Wrocław.

Questions and answers

What does INT in the name mean?

INT is the Intermediate age and size category, in between Junior (JR) and Senior (SR). You will find other sizes of this model in the Junior and Senior versions.

Is the FT485 suitable for a beginner?

Yes. It is a recreational JetSpeed model, good for starting out in hockey and comfortable for intermediate players too.

How does the FT485 differ from the FT475?

The better lining: the FT485 has a TotalDri liner with a Durazone layer, which wicks away moisture and protects against chafing. There is also a vent hole in the sole.

Can I replace the blade myself?

Yes. The Speedblade holder has a knob at the heel with which you replace the CCM SpeedBlade Stainless blade quickly and without tools.

Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return) without giving a reason, and the buyer covers the return shipping. A size exchange means a return and a new order. You can also try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.
