In brief

CCM Tacks XF70 Intermediate are hockey skates in the INT category, that is, between junior and senior sizes. The 2D Metaframe composite cuff with a stiffness of 140, ADPT Memory foam around the ankles and the Metatomic Tritech tongue are meant to give comfort from the first time you put them on. The CCM XS stainless steel blade is fitted in the Speedblade XS blade with BladeLock.

Who it’s for

  • Your player has outgrown the JR category, and senior sizes are still too big for them.
  • You want a blade system in which you can change just the steel quickly, without having to buy a whole new blade.
  • You prefer to see how the skate fits your foot before you pay — you can try it on in Poznań or Wrocław.

When to choose something else

  • You are buying for an adult player in senior sizes — see the hockey skates in the SR category.
  • You are looking for skates for ordinary skating at the rink, not for playing — recreational skates will be more comfortable.

Key features

2D Metaframe composite cuff
A light, ergonomically shaped shell in a carbon-look finish; it keeps the shape of the boot and does not weigh down the leg.
ADPT Memory foam around the ankles
It surrounds the ankles and adapts to the foot, while the layered foams inside the boot wrap the rest of the foot.
Metatomic Tritech tongue
It has 7 mm of felt, a reinforced foam core and 2 mm of embossed protection — it protects the instep from the pressure of the laces.
HD microfibre padding with an EVA layer
The microfibre is abrasion-resistant, so the inside of the boot looks and fits like new for longer.
Speedblade XS blade with BladeLock
The BladeLock system lets you quickly replace the CCM XS stainless steel blade when it wears out.

Choosing your size

Measure your foot in centimetres, from the heel to the end of the longest toe, and choose the size on that basis. Hockey skates have their own size scale, so do not carry over the number of your everyday shoes one to one.

If the player is still growing and falls on the borderline between the JR and INT categories, try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Care and servicing

You can have the blades sharpened and serviced in our shops in Poznań and Wrocław. After skating, dry the blades and let the boot dry so that the steel does not rust and the inside does not pick up odours.

Questions and answers

What does Intermediate in the name of these skates mean?

Intermediate (INT) is the size category between junior (JR) and senior (SR). You choose it when the player has outgrown junior sizes and senior ones are still too big.

Can I replace just the blade?

Yes. The Speedblade XS blade has the BladeLock system, which lets you quickly replace the CCM XS blade without replacing the whole blade assembly.

How do I choose the size of these skates?

Measure your foot in centimetres and choose the size using the hockey skate scale, not the number of your everyday shoes. If in doubt, try them on in the shop.

Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return) without giving a reason, and the buyer covers the return shipping. Exchanging a size means a return and a new order.
