In brief

MPC Junk VooDoo 90 mm X-Firm wheels are a set of 8 with a hardness of 84–86A and MTech technology: a soft 63A inner ring under the harder Magic Urethane. They give you control in the corners and fast rolling on tracks and roads. They work well for speed training, races, inline marathons, smooth city surfaces and skate cross.

Who it’s for

  • You train for speed or race inline marathons and need wheels that hold the corners well.
  • You skate on smooth city surfaces and want fast rolling without switching to the largest diameters.
  • You ride skate cross — it is one of the uses of this version.

When to choose something else

  • You skate mainly on wet or very uneven asphalt — a hard wheel loses grip there. See other 90 mm wheels with a lower hardness.

Key features

90 mm diameter
An in-between diameter: faster than an 84 mm set, and lighter and more manoeuvrable than 100–110 mm wheels.
MTech Soft Heart, Hard Body
The soft 63A inner ring gives flexibility in the bends, and the harder outer urethane gives a fast return of energy on the straights.
X-Firm hardness
The intermediate hardness combines control in the corners with fast rolling on tracks and roads.
Magic Urethane without pigments
The compound gives grip, low resistance and resistance to abrasion and temperature, and the lack of pigments is meant to ensure an even hardness around the whole circumference.
One-cavity casting
Every wheel in the set has the same parameters and the same dynamic balance.

Care and servicing

The wheels wear mainly on the inner edge. Every so often, swap their positions and flip them to the other side so that they wear evenly.

Questions and answers

What riding style are the 90 mm X-Firm wheels for?

For speed training, races and inline marathons, skating on smooth city surfaces, and skate cross.

How do they differ from 100 and 110 mm wheels?

They are a compromise between a light 84 mm set and 100–110 mm wheels: a smaller diameter gives greater manoeuvrability, a larger one gives higher speed over a long distance.

Are the 90 mm X-Firm wheels suitable for skate cross?

Yes, skate cross is one of the uses of this version.

What does MTech technology give me?

It combines a soft inner ring with a harder outer urethane: flexibility in the bends, a fast return of energy on the straights, and greater comfort and durability.

Can you match spacers to these wheels?

Yes, as part of the separate service “Wheel core measurement and spacer matching”, which you add to your order.
