In brief

Powerslide Next 80 in grey/purple are urban freeride skates, that is, for dynamic city skating. They have a hard boot that holds the ankle and withstands knocks against kerbs, a low Elite Trinity frame that lowers the centre of gravity and four 80 mm wheels — a diameter that combines manoeuvrability with decent speed.

Who it’s for

  • You skate in the city and want skates that will withstand kerbs, descents and everyday knocks.
  • You care about stability in fast skating and sharp turns, so you are looking for a hard boot on a low frame.
  • You want urban skates in a colour that stands out from the typical black.

When to choose something else

  • You mainly plan long fitness routes — fitness skates on bigger wheels will be more comfortable.

Key features

Hard boot
The stiff shell supports the ankle and transfers the movement of the foot straight to the frame, and it withstands knocks better than a soft cuff.
Low Elite Trinity frame
The low-set boot lowers the centre of gravity, so the skate is more stable on the straight and in quick changes of direction.
Four 80 mm wheels
A diameter at which skates accelerate quickly and stay manoeuvrable between obstacles; replacements in this size are easy to find.
Urban freeride design
Skates built for city skating: kerbs, descents and tight turns between pedestrians.

Care and servicing

From time to time swap the wheels around and flip them over, because they wear on the inner edge. After skating in the rain, dry the bearings the same day.

Questions and answers

Are the grey/purple Next 80 suitable for city skating?

Yes. These are urban freeride skates with a hard boot and a low Elite Trinity frame, built for city skating.

What wheels do these skates have?

Four 80 mm wheels per skate. This is a popular diameter, so you can find replacements in the 80 mm wheels category.

What does the low frame give me?

Stability. The boot sits closer to the ground, the centre of gravity is lower, and it is easier to keep your balance in fast skating and in bends.

What should I do if the size does not fit?

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract, and the buyer covers the return shipping. Exchanging for another size means a return and a new order.
