In brief

Rollerblade Hydrogen Spectre 80 mm / 85A lime is a set of four wheels for city skating and freestyle slalom. The elliptical (bullet) profile reduces rolling resistance, and the small, full core leaves more urethane for rebound and cushioning. The bearing seats take 608 bearings, and the wheels fit frames of the standard length of 243 mm.

Who it’s for

  • You skate in the city or train freestyle slalom on skates with a 243 mm frame and 80 mm wheels.
  • You want the skates to roll more lightly on smooth asphalt, and still go readily into curves.
  • You have bearings in the standard 608 size and will move them over to the new set.

When to choose something else

Key features

Elliptical (bullet) profile
A narrower footprint on the surface reduces rolling resistance and makes it easier to lean the skate in a corner and between cones.
Small, full core
More urethane around the core gives a springy rebound and dampens vibration better on uneven asphalt.
85A hardness
It holds both on smooth surfaces and in ordinary city conditions, and with regular rotation it wears evenly.
Seats for 608 bearings
This is the standard bearing size in skates, so you can move your bearings over from the old wheels.
Set of 4
It fits one four-wheel skate; for a pair of skates you need two sets.

Care and servicing

The wheels wear mainly on the inner edge. Every so often, swap their positions and flip them to the other side so that they wear evenly.

Questions and answers

Will these wheels fit my skates?

Yes, if your frame takes 80 mm wheels — it then has a standard length of 243 mm. The wheel seats take 608 bearings, the most popular size in skates.

Are 4 wheels enough for a pair of skates?

No, if you have four-wheel skates. Four wheels fit one skate, so for a pair you need two sets.

How does an elliptical profile differ from a rounded one?

The elliptical one is narrower where it meets the ground, so the wheel rolls with less resistance and leans more easily. A rounded one gives a wider footprint and more stability on the straight.

Can I return the wheels?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return) without giving a reason. The buyer covers the return shipping.
