In brief

The Rollerblade Maxxum 125 in black/lime is a version of the Maxxum Edge 3WD model: a stiff shell inspired by freeskate skates, an Anti Torsion Box and a frame mounting reinforced with metal plates. They run on three Hydrogen 125 mm / 85A wheels with ILQ-9 Classic Plus bearings, mounted in an 11.6-inch aluminium frame. For fast skating, long distances and training.

Who it’s for

  • You skate a lot and fast, in the city and on long routes, and want wheels that hold their speed for a long time.
  • You train intensively and need a stiff boot that stabilises the ankle joint.
  • You have seasons on four-wheel skates behind you and want to move to a 3 × 125 mm setup.

When to choose something else

  • You are just starting out — big wheels and high speed require braking you have already mastered; see fitness skates.
  • You want to do slalom between cones — the long frame is less manoeuvrable, see slalom skates.

Key features

Stiff shell inspired by freeskate
It holds the foot firmly and stabilises the ankle joint, so the skate reacts to leg movement even at high speed.
Anti Torsion Box and metal plates in the frame mounting
They limit boot twisting and play where it meets the frame: the handling is more precise, and the push-off force goes to the wheels.
Hydrogen 3 × 125 mm / 85A wheels
The large diameter rolls more easily over cracks and unevenness in the asphalt and holds speed longer, and 85A is an all-round hardness for asphalt.
Twincam ILQ-9 Classic Plus bearings
Low rolling resistance means smooth skating and less effort over a long distance.
Premium liner and Comfort Flex tongue
The liner adapts to the shape of the foot, and the tongue increases control over the skates by supporting the shin softly.
Heel damper
It absorbs vibration from an uneven surface, which relieves the feet over a long distance.

Choosing your size

Sizes come in pairs: each covers two neighbouring EU sizes and a range of insole lengths in millimetres. Measure your foot from the heel to the longest toe, ideally in the evening and in the sock you will skate in, and compare the result with the range given for the size.

A hard boot will not stretch over time, so do not size up “just in case”. If in doubt, try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Measure your foot in millimetres (heel against the wall, to the tip of your longest toe) and choose an insole equal to that length or 2–5 mm longer. Full measuring guide

Care and servicing

Three wheels wear unevenly — every few dozen hours of skating swap them around and rotate them to the other side. After skating in the rain, dry the skates, and clean the bearings or take them to service.

Questions and answers

Is the Maxxum 125 the same model as the Maxxum Edge 125 3WD?

Yes. These are Maxxum Edge 3WD skates on Hydrogen 125 mm / 85A wheels in black/lime; this model also comes in grey/yellow.

Are 3 × 125 mm skates suitable for a beginner?

They are not a good choice to start with. Big wheels pick up speed quickly, and the long frame requires some turning and braking technique — for learning, fitness skates on smaller wheels will be better.

Are they suitable for city skating?

Yes. The 125 mm wheels roll easily over unevenness and cracks in the asphalt, and the stiff boot gives control when skating fast. For tight manoeuvres between obstacles they are less manoeuvrable than skates on smaller wheels.

What should I do if the size does not fit?

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return), and the buyer covers the return shipping. Exchanging a size means a return and a new order.
