Key features

Hard shell with an Anti Torsion Box: Stiffening around the foot improves the transfer of energy to the wheels, so the skate reacts straight away to the push-off.
Metal plates under the frame: They reinforce the points where the frame is mounted to the boot, so the connection is solid and the skate handles precisely.
Premium liner and Comfort Flex tongue: Rebuilt foams settle around the foot from the first time you put them on; the softly padded tongue protects the shin, and its reinforced centre stabilises the foot.
Larger V-cut: The cuff lets the ankle joint bend further, which is useful for dynamic skating and deep turns.
45° buckle and top buckle: The lower buckle locks the heel in the boot, and the top one quickly tightens the cuff, so the skate does not move around on your leg.
280 mm alu frame in flat, 165 mm mounting: Stiff aluminium and an even wheel setup give stability at higher speeds; the 165 mm mounting determines which frame you can fit when replacing it.

Care and servicing

Swap the wheels between positions every dozen or so hours of skating, because they wear unevenly. From time to time check that the frame bolts are tight, and dry the bearings after skating in the rain.

Fitness with freeskate features. The stiff shell, Anti Torsion Box and larger V-cut allow dynamic city skating, and the 90 mm wheels work well on longer training sessions.

What does the 165 mm frame mounting mean?

It is the spacing of the frame mounting points in the boot. When replacing the frame, you choose a model with the same spacing so that it fits without modification.

Are they suitable for first skates?

They are not designed for learning from scratch. 90 mm wheels and a stiff boot work best for someone who skates confidently and can brake.

How do they differ from the black/red version?

The Maxxum XT W is the women's version, with its own size range. Both have 90 mm / 85A wheels, ILQ-7 Plus bearings and a 280 mm aluminium frame.

Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?
