Who it’s for

The axles in your Rollerblade skates with an aluminium frame have worn Allen key sockets or a stripped thread, and you want to replace them all at once.
You skate on a Macroblade, RB XL or Maxxum with an aluminium frame and prefer an original replacement part to fitting replacements.
An axle went missing when you changed the wheels and you need a set that also contains the longer axle for the brake.

When to choose something else

Your skates have 6 mm axles, like the Rollerblade Thunder and Alpha — for them there is the Fury/Thndr set.
You want to move the wheels into a rockered (banana) setup — eccentric axles are for that, e.g. the Rocker Axle for the Rollerblade Crossfire.

Key features

Two-piece construction: axle + bolt: The axle goes in from one side of the frame and the bolt screws into it from the other, so the wheel sits steadily and does not play from side to side.
Aluminium: Light axles that do not rust after riding in the rain and add no unnecessary weight to the skates.
Longer brake axle: The wheel with the brake is fixed with a longer axle, because it also passes through the brake bracket — you do not have to look for it separately.
4 mm Allen key: The most common size on skates, so you can handle the axles with an ordinary skate key.
Original Rollerblade part: The diameter and length of the axles match the factory axles in the manufacturer's aluminium frames, with no fitting by eye.

Care and servicing

At every wheel rotation check that the axles are tight — a loose axle lets the wheel play and wears out the hole in the frame. Tighten with care, because an aluminium thread is easier to strip than a steel one.

Questions and answers

Are 9 axles enough for a pair of skates?

Yes, for four-wheel skates. 8 axles serve all the wheels on the pair, and the ninth, longer one replaces an ordinary axle at the wheel with the brake.

Will these axles fit my skates?

Yes, if you have Rollerblade skates with an aluminium frame in the 2.0 Alu Frames system, e.g. the Macroblade, RB XL or Maxxum. The surest way is to compare the new axle with the old one — in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław we will do it on the spot.

What key is needed for fitting?

A 4 mm Allen key. This is the standard skate key size, so you do not need a special tool.

How do they differ from the Fury/Thndr set?

In diameter. This set has 8 mm axles for Rollerblade aluminium frames, and the Fury/Thndr has 6 mm axles for the Thunder and Alpha models. Axles of different diameters are not interchangeable.
