In brief

The black Stelior steel bearings are a set of 16 608 bearings (8 × 22 × 7 mm) for skates, roller skates, scooters and skateboards. They have rings made of GCr15 chrome steel with black oxide, 7 steel balls, a nylon cage and removable RS rubber shields. They come without grease from the factory; you choose the grease and the shield colour when ordering. The metal box has room for 8 spacers.

Who it’s for

  • You service your bearings yourself and want a model that can be taken apart, cleaned and lubricated many times.
  • You want to decide yourself whether the bearings should be greased for speed or for protection in harsh conditions.
  • You are replacing a set of bearings in four-wheel skates — 16 pieces is enough for 8 wheels.

When to choose something else

  • You need a set with spacers — there are none here. Sold with 8 spacers is the Rollerblade Hydrogen ILQ-9 Pro.
  • You don't intend to clean or lubricate your bearings — this model needs regular lubrication.

Key features

608 standard
The 8 × 22 × 7 mm size fits the wheels in skates, roller skates, scooters and skateboards of most brands.
GCr15 chrome steel with black oxide
Rings of hard bearing steel; the oxide finish gives them their black colour.
Removable RS rubber shields
With the shield off you have access to the balls, so the bearing can be cleaned and lubricated many times. You choose the shield colour when ordering.
Choice of grease
Bones Speed Cream gives the least resistance, Rollerblade Dry Fluid is a compromise between speed and protection, and Stelior Ceramic Grease protects best at the cost of greater rolling resistance.
Nylon cage, 7 balls
The nylon cage keeps the steel balls evenly spaced.
Metal box
It holds 16 bearings and 8 spacers, so the set doesn't scatter in your service bag.

Care and servicing

Lubricate the bearings regularly. To clean them, remove the RS shields and use extraction naphtha or kerosene — not soapy water. After cleaning, lubricate the bearings again.

Questions and answers

Will these bearings fit my skates?

Yes, if your wheels take 608 bearings (8 × 22 × 7 mm). That is the standard in skates from Rollerblade, FR Skates, Seba, Powerslide, K2, Roces, USD, Flying Eagle, Tempish, Micro and many others.

How many bearings do I need?

16 — two per wheel. The set is enough for 8 wheels, i.e. a pair of four-wheel skates.

Which grease should I choose?

Bones Speed Cream if speed matters. Rollerblade Dry Fluid is a compromise between speed and protection, and Stelior Ceramic Grease protects the bearing best in harsh conditions, but adds more resistance.

Are spacers included?

No. The box has room for 8 spacers, but spacers are chosen separately — you can do it as part of the wheel core measuring service.

How do I clean Stelior bearings?

With extraction naphtha or kerosene, after removing the RS rubber shields. Avoid water and soap, and lubricate the bearings again after cleaning.
