In brief

FR Skates FR3 80 white are stiff freeskate skates with an X2R frame, Street Kings 80 mm wheels and Twincam MW7 Freeride bearings. You turn the eccentric axles in the first and fourth positions by 180° to go from the flat setup to rocker. They suit the start of learning city skating and slalom; FR Custom Kit sets fit them.

Who it’s for

  • You are starting to learn city skating or the first elements of freestyle slalom and want a stable, stiff shell.
  • You want to find out how rocker feels without buying a new frame — on the X2R you switch it by turning two axles.
  • You like changing the look of your skates — the model works with coloured FR Custom Kit sets.

When to choose something else

  • You plan very aggressive urban freeride with high jumps — the FR1 80 will work better.

Key features

X2R frame with rockering
Turning the eccentric axles in positions 1 and 4 by 180° changes the height of the wheels: flat gives stability, rocker gives manoeuvrability in slalom.
Stiff shell
It holds the foot and ankle steadily, which makes learning city skating and the first slalom elements easier.
Street Kings 80 mm wheels and Twincam MW7 Freeride bearings
A diameter of 80 mm is the typical choice for freeskate and slalom: the skate is manoeuvrable, and the foot stays low to the ground.
Compatibility with FR Custom Kit
You change the colour of the skate parts with FR Custom Kit sets, without replacing the whole boot.

Care and servicing

After switching the frame from flat to rocker (or the other way round), check that the axles are tight and that the wheels turn freely. Check them every few rides, too.

Questions and answers

How do I set rocker on the X2R frame?

Turn the eccentric axles in positions 1 and 4 by 180°. The height of the outer wheels changes, and the frame goes from the flat setup to rocker or the other way round.

Are the FR3 80 suitable for beginners?

Yes, if you want to learn city skating or start freestyle slalom. The stiff shell holds the foot steadily.

Will they withstand jumps and aggressive skating?

At medium loads, yes. For very aggressive urban freeride the FR1 will be better.

Can I fit a brake?

Yes, but you need a brake that fits a 243 mm frame with rockering — FR Skates offer such models.

Can I change the colour of the parts?

Yes. The FR3 80 are compatible with FR Custom Kit sets.
