Who it’s for

  • You skate freestyle slalom and want a light, stiff shell that transfers energy well.
  • You combine slalom with city skating or freeride and need more freedom in the ankle than in the classic SL.
  • You want to set up rockering — middle wheels lower, outer wheels higher — or skate flat when stability and speed matter.

When to choose something else

  • You are only starting with slalom — see the FR Skates Spin, recommended for starting out.
  • You need a liner that can be taken out and dried — on the SL Seven it is integrated with the shell.

Key features

Carbon shell
It is light and stiff, so it transfers energy well from your leg to the skate.
Plastic cuff, less stiff than on the SL and Igor
It gives more freedom in the ankle and makes smooth movements easier.
FR Freestyle Frame with rockering
Rockering makes spins, tricks and wheeling easier, while the flat setup gives stability, speed and less wheel wear over longer distances.
Integrated liner and Premium Insole
The liner is in direct contact with the boot; for slalom the fit is meant to be tight, and the liner will settle in after a few rides.
165 mm mounting
It fits most FR frames and those of other brands, so you can change the frame later.

Choosing your size

The SL Seven comes in EU sizes 34–47. Foot length according to the size chart: EU 34 — 22 cm, 35 — 22.5, 36 — 23, 37 — 23.5, 38 — 24.5, 39 — 25.5, 40 — 26, 41 — 27, 42 — 27.5, 43 — 28.5, 44 — 29, 45 — 29.5, 46 — 30, 47 — 30.5 cm.

The sizes on the boxes (MP) differ from the chart, so choose by foot length, not by the number on the box. For slalom the fit is meant to be tight; the initial tightness is normal, and the liner will settle in after a few rides.

Care and servicing

Wipe the shell and wheels with a dry cloth, check that the screws and axles are tight, clean the bearings without water and do not leave the skates in a hot or cold car. The liner is not removable, so freshen it with an antibacterial spray.

Questions and answers

Are the SL Seven suitable for a beginner?

Rather not. These are skates for intermediate and advanced skaters.

Is a brake included?

No. You can buy a brake and fit it separately, e.g. an FR Brake Mount Kit matched to the frame length.

How do the SL Seven differ from the classic SL?

They have a less stiff, plastic cuff that gives more freedom in the ankle.

Can I take the liner out?

No. The liner is integrated with the boot. Freshen it with an antibacterial spray.

The 165 mm mounting fits most FR frames and those of other brands, including Seba and FR1 frames.
