In brief

Riedell Crystal figure skates are a training model for learning and improving jumps: single and first double ones, such as the Toe Loop, Salchow, Loop, Flip, Lutz and Axel. You choose the boot width (e.g. narrow B or wide D, depending on the delivery) on the product page; the model comes in white only. They also suit adult beginners if they plan regular training.

Brand: Riedell
Model: Crystal
Colour: white
Width: to choose on the product page (e.g. narrow B, wide D, depending on the delivery)
Level: single and first double jumps; adult beginners training regularly
Intended use: figure skating training, learning jumps

Who it’s for

You train figure skating and are working on single jumps, with the first doubles already planned.
You have a narrow or a wide foot and want a boot in a width matched to it, not one width for everyone.
You are starting as an adult, but attend regular classes and are learning technical elements.

When to choose something else

You want to skate recreationally a few times a season — the recreational Riedell Ember or other recreational skates will be more comfortable.

Key features

A model for jump training: Intended for learning and polishing single and first double jumps, that is for the stage at which skating stops being only recreation.
Boot width to choose: A well-chosen width (e.g. narrow B or wide D) lets you match the boot to the shape of your foot, not only to its length; a heel held without play gives a more secure take-off and landing.
Also for adults starting training: It will work for an adult beginner who trains regularly and learns the technical elements of figure skating.

Questions and answers

Are Riedell Crystal suitable for jumps?

Yes. This is a model for learning and improving single and first double jumps, such as the Toe Loop, Salchow, Loop, Flip, Lutz and Axel.

How do I choose the boot width?

You choose the width on the product page. If you feel pressure at the sides in typical shoes, try a wider boot (e.g. D); with a narrow foot a narrower one (e.g. B) holds better, and in the end a fitting will decide.

Are they suitable for an adult beginner?

Yes, if you plan regular training and learning technical elements. For occasional recreational skating a recreational model will be more comfortable.

Are the skates sharpened?

No. New Riedell skates are supplied unsharpened; we can do the sharpening in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return). The buyer covers the return shipping, and a size exchange means a return and a new order.
