In brief

The Rollerblade Apex 3WD are adjustable kids' freeskate skates: a hard, ventilated boot with a removable liner, an aluminium frame and three 82A wheels on SG7 bearings. Each of the three ranges covers four EU sizes, and in the larger ranges the frame is longer and the wheels bigger (76, 80 or 84 mm). The brake is included in the set.

Who it’s for

  • Your child already skates confidently and is drawn to the skatepark or low walls — a hard boot holds the ankle in jumps and tricks.
  • You want skates your child will not outgrow after a season: one adjustment range covers four sizes.
  • Your child likes to experiment with equipment — on three wheels they can set up the rockering, and the frames, wheels and buckles can be replaced with others.

When to choose something else

  • Your child is only learning to stand on skates — a calmer start is given by the Microblade XT skates with a low frame and a Junior Fit liner.

Key features

Extendable composite shell
The shell lengthens across four sizes, and the adjustable insoles fill the gap, so the boot holds the foot at every setting.
Hardboot with a removable liner and a Shock Absorber
The hard, ventilated boot steadies the ankle, you can take the liner out to dry, and the shock absorber damps impacts on landings.
Milled aluminium frame in three lengths
207, 219 or 231 mm depending on the range, so the wheels are always under the foot, and the stiff aluminium transfers movement precisely.
Rockering on three wheels
A bigger wheel in the middle and smaller ones at the front and back: the skate turns tighter and rotates more easily. The flat setup gives more stability.
Buckle, 45° buckle and laces
The buckle on the cuff, the 45° buckle on the instep and the lacing keep the foot in place, and your child can fasten the skates quickly on their own.
A brake that is easy to take off
At the start it stays on the skate, and when your child starts skating in the skatepark it can be removed.

Choosing your size

The Apex 3WD has three adjustment ranges, each covering four EU sizes: foot length 185–205 mm (EU 29–32), 210–230 mm (EU 33–36.5) and 235–255 mm (EU 37–40). The frame length and the wheel diameter change with the range.

Measure your child's foot in millimetres, standing, from the heel to the longest toe. Choose the range in which the result falls at the bottom or in the middle — the skates will last longer. On the border between two ranges, try both on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Care and servicing

After changing the size range or moving the wheels to a different setup, check that the axles are tight. After skating, take out the liner so that it dries.

Questions and answers

What foot sizes are the Apex 3WD skates made for?

Three ranges of four sizes each: EU 29–32 (foot 185–205 mm), EU 33–36.5 (210–230 mm) and EU 37–40 (235–255 mm). Within a range the skate extends along with the foot.

What wheels can be fitted to the frame?

It depends on the frame length. The 207 mm frame takes 4 × 68 mm, 4 × 72 mm or 3 × 76 mm; the 219 mm — 4 × 72 mm, 3 × 76 mm or 3 × 80 mm; the 231 mm — 4 × 76 mm, 3 × 80 mm or 3 × 84 mm.

What is rockering and how do I set it?

It is a setup in which the middle wheel is bigger than the outer ones. An example with 68, 72 and 76 mm wheels: 76–76–76 is flat skating, 72–76–72 a gentle rocker for slalom, and 68–72–68 a full rocker for tricks and spins.

Is the brake included?

Yes. The brake comes with the skates and is easy to remove when your child starts skating in the skatepark.

Can I return the skates if the size does not fit?

Yes. You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract, and the buyer covers the return shipping. Exchanging for another size means a return and a new order.
