In brief

The Rollerblade Macroblade 80 in black/lime are skates for recreation and basic fitness training, for beginners. They have an aluminium Twinblade frame, 80 mm wheels with 82A hardness and SG5 bearings, which give smooth skating at a moderate pace. The soft Performance Form Fit padding and a mesh upper provide comfort, and the brake is on the right skate.

Who it’s for

  • You are starting to skate and want skates on which the ride is calm and predictable.
  • You skate recreationally in the park and on cycle paths, or do a light fitness workout.
  • You skate for longer on warm days and care about a breathable upper.

When to choose something else

  • You want to brake without lifting the front of the skate off the ground — see the Macroblade 80 ABT with its active brake.
  • You prefer larger wheels, which roll longer from a single push — see the Macroblade 84.

Key features

80 mm / 82A wheels
82A is a soft compound: it absorbs vibration well on uneven asphalt and keeps grip, although it wears faster than harder wheels.
Aluminium Twinblade frame
A stiff frame passes the push-off to the wheels and keeps them in line, which makes skating in a straight line easier.
SG5 bearings
They give smooth rolling at the moderate speeds of recreational skating and learning.
Performance Form Fit padding
Soft, anatomically shaped padding reduces pressure on longer rides.
Ventilated mesh upper
The mesh lets air through, so your foot sweats less on warm days.
Brake on the right skate
Fitted as standard, so from your first ride you can practise heel braking.

Care and servicing

Soft 82A wheels wear faster, mainly on the inner edge — swap them around every few dozen hours of skating. After skating in the rain, dry the skates before you put them away in a bag.

Questions and answers

Is the Macroblade 80 suitable for a beginner?

Yes. These are skates for recreation and basic fitness for beginners, with the brake fitted on the right skate.

What does 82A wheel hardness mean?

It is a soft compound. The wheels absorb vibration better and keep grip on uneven asphalt, but wear faster than 85A wheels.

How do they differ from the Macroblade 80 ABT?

In the brake. The Macroblade 80 ABT has an active brake that you use by pushing your leg forward; here a brake without the ABT system is fitted on the right skate.

What should I do if the size does not fit?

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return), and the buyer covers the return shipping. Exchanging a size means a return and a new order.
