In brief

Luminous LED 84 mm / 85A white light-up wheels are a set of 4 wheels made of milky, semi-transparent polyurethane with white LEDs — the brightest-glowing variant in the Luminous range. The 84 mm diameter mainly suits fitness and recreational skates. The LEDs are powered by a magnetic dynamo, with no batteries or charging. The set includes 4 magnetic spacers; the bearings are the 608 standard.

Brand: Luminous
Model: Luminous LED
Diameter: 84 mm
Hardness: 85A
Number of pieces: 4 (set for one four-wheel skate)
Intended use: fitness and recreational skates

Who it’s for

You skate after dark on paths or in the city and want to be more visible to pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
You have fitness or recreational skates with a frame that takes 84 mm wheels, and you are replacing a worn-out set.
You are looking for a neutral colour that suits any skates, and the light being as bright as possible matters to you.
You do not want to remember about charging or about replacing batteries in the wheels.

When to choose something else

The frame of your skates takes 80 mm at most — check the print on your old wheels and choose white Luminous LED 80 mm wheels.
You need wheels for a pair of skates in one pack — the set is 4 pieces, which is wheels for one four-wheel skate.

Key features

Magnetic dynamo instead of batteries: The LEDs are powered by the movement of the wheels, so you charge nothing and replace no batteries.
Milky polyurethane and white LEDs: The light, semi-transparent material lets a lot of light through, which is why the white variant glows the brightest in the Luminous range.
84 mm diameter: Reaches a higher speed and absorbs bumps better than an 80 mm wheel; it needs a frame that takes 84 mm.
85A hardness: A universal hardness: a balance between ride comfort and resistance to abrasion, and the polyurethane wears slowly and evenly.
Full profile: Gives stability and a large contact area with the surface.
Magnetic spacers in the set: Each wheel has a spacer with a magnet that works with the dynamo — you fit it in place of the existing one.

Care and servicing

From time to time swap the wheels around, as they wear mainly on the inner edge.

Questions and answers

Do light-up wheels need batteries?

No. The LEDs are powered by a magnetic dynamo, so the wheels glow when they turn. There are no batteries and no charging.

Are 4 wheels enough for a pair of skates?

No. Four wheels are a set for one four-wheel skate. For a pair you need two sets.

Will 84 mm wheels fit my skates?

Yes, if the frame of your skates takes 84 mm wheels and the bearings are the 608 standard. If your old wheels are printed 84 mm, the swap is direct; with smaller ones, first check the largest diameter your frame allows.

Are bearings included?

No. The set is 4 wheels and 4 magnetic spacers. You move the 608 bearings across from your old wheels or buy them separately.

Can I return the wheels if they do not fit?

Yes, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (return) without giving a reason. The buyer covers the return shipping.
