Who it’s for

You are starting to skate and want skates that come with a brake and guide the foot steadily.
You have your first outings behind you and want to improve your technique on longer fitness routes.
You are thinking of the coming seasons: once you pick up the pace, you will fit larger wheels, up to 84 mm, without changing skates.

When to choose something else

You are buying for a woman — the women's version is the Zetrablade Elite W.

Key features

Composite monocoque frame: Low-set and one-piece: it lowers the centre of gravity, so the skates are easier to steer and it is harder to lose balance.
Performance liner with a seamless toe: Soft, breathable padding with mesh; the lack of a seam at the toes limits chafing on longer training sessions.
High cuff: It supports the ankle and makes it easier to keep your balance while learning.
Room for wheels up to 84 mm: As supplied, 80 mm / 82A wheels on SG5 bearings give a moderate pace; when you start to skate faster, you fit larger ones without replacing the frame.
Quick lacing, 45° strap and buckle: You put the skate on and fasten it in a few moments, and the strap at 45° stabilises the heel.

Care and servicing

From time to time swap the wheels around and rotate them so that they wear evenly. After skating, leave the skates unlaced to dry, away from a radiator.
