Boot with a removable liner: the liner settles after a few sessions and can give up to 5 mm more room, so new skates may feel tight.

In brief

The FR Skates FR2 80 skates in black are skates for city skating, freestyle and slalom with a hard composite shell, an R2 243 mm frame and four Downtown 80 mm / 85A wheels on MW7 bearings. The frame lets you set the wheels at different heights (rockering), and the removable liner can be laced for extra stiffness. This model has no brake.

Who it’s for

  • You skate in town and want a hard boot on four 80 mm wheels.
  • You practise slalom or freestyle and need a frame that can be rockered — the FR1 frame does not have this option.
  • You value a removable liner that you can stiffen further by lacing its upper part.

When to choose something else

  • You care about metal buckles and higher-grade bearings — see the FR1 80 Deluxe Intuition.
  • You prefer bigger wheels — check the version on 110 mm wheels: the FR2 310.

Key features

R2 frame with rockering
The 243 mm aluminium frame lets you set the wheels at different heights, which increases manoeuvrability, especially in slalom. The FR1 does not have this option in its standard frame.
Hard shell with metal plates
The composite shell steadies your foot, and the stiffening at the joint with the frame improves the transfer of force to the wheels when you push off.
Adjustable cuff
You set it for maximum stabilisation or for less, which lets your feet tilt around the ankles.
Removable liner
It is anatomically contoured and well fitted; by lacing its upper part you stiffen it further.
Replaceable sliders
They protect the sides of the shell in slides and tricks, so you wear down the sliders, not the boot itself.
Shock absorber
It reduces overload on your feet on landing.

Choosing your size

Next to the EU size we give the insole length in millimetres. Measure your foot from the heel to the end of the longest toe, in the sock you will skate in, and choose the size whose length range your foot falls within.

If you fall on the border between two sizes, try the skates on in our shop in Poznań or Wrocław.

Questions and answers

How does the FR2 differ from the FR1?

The FR2 has simpler solutions: a plastic buckle on the cuff instead of a metal one, and lower-grade bearings. In return it has an R2 frame with rockering, which the FR1 does not have in its standard frame.

What is rockering, and do these skates have it?

Rockering is setting the wheels at different heights, which increases manoeuvrability. The R2 frame on these skates makes that possible.

Do the skates have a brake?

No. This model has no brake.

Can the liner be taken out?

Yes. The liner is removable, and by lacing its upper part you can stiffen it further.

How do I choose the size of FR2 skates?

Measure your foot length in millimetres and compare it with the insole length given for each EU size. If you fall on the border between two sizes, try the skates on in Poznań or Wrocław.
